Pratt City is one of Birmingham’s oldest neighborhoods – a tight-knit community with roots in the city’s coal and steel history, and a resilience that has defined it through decades of change. In 2011, a devastating tornado destroyed more than 2,200 structures here. Fifteen years later, ShadowBrook represents the first significant investment in new single-family homes since that day.
Built in partnership with the City of Birmingham and Mayor Randall Woodfin’s administration, ShadowBrook brings 52 new energy-efficient homes to Pratt Highway – open-concept layouts, stylish finishes, front porches, and attached garages. These are homes built to last, priced for the community they are a part of, and part of a broader effort to restore what Pratt City lost and build toward what it is becoming.
